SEOUL: The Galaxy S2 I9100 is one of the Android devices that received the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update via CyanogenMod 12 ROM. It seems that the new unofficial build of CM12 ROM for the Galaxy S2 is more stable than the previous builds. However, it still comes with some minor bugs with the HD video recording and the storage.
This Android 5.0.2 Lollipop unofficial release doesn’t feature the TouchWiz, but in order to install the OS on users Galaxy S2, the device will need to be rooted. Keep in mind that users do this on their own risks and company is not responsible for any damage of their device during or after installing the custom ROM. Another thing that users should know is that they will lose the device’s warranty once they install a custom ROM or root it.
This version works only for the Galaxy S2 that has the model number GT-I9100 only. To verify the model number of their device, go to Settings->About Phone. Before users start the installation, make sure they have at least 80% of the battery in order to prevent the device from shutting down during the installation.
