LONDON: T-Mobile’s Samsung Galaxy Note 3 would be on the receiving end of the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, and it seems that devices are getting Lollipop-ped left, right and center with the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active being the latest device to do so, or at least, it is about to be on the receiving end.
It is open season for Samsung devices to obtain the Android 5.0 Lollipop update at the moment, where the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active would be the latest recipient in a potentially long line to be the beneficiary of such a movement. By the sound of its name alone, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is obviously a far more rugged version of its vanilla relative, and hence with the Galaxy S5 being the recipient of Android 5.0 Lollipop goodness for quite some time already, it is about time that the Galaxy S5 Active, too, will be on par operation system version wise.
The initial rollout will target Europe’s Nordic region, where those who picked up the Galaxy S5 Active from the area should see an update notification arrive, with the file size estimated to be approximately 1.4GB, so you might want to download it through a Wi-Fi connection whenever possible.
