KARACHI: Chairman, FPCCI Standing Committee on Readymade Garments Manufacturing and Exporters Dawood Usman Jakhura has expressed concern, on behalf of the garments manufacturers and exporters of the country, over the delay in payment of refund claims and urged on expediting the payment.
The demand came during a meeting of the committee, held here on Friday. Dawood Jakhura maintained that the manufacturers and exporters of garments were faced with financial crunch and it had become very difficult for them to continue their operations.
He appealed to the Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Federal Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar to provide relief to the garments sector at the earliest for the good of the business community and of the country.
