Garments manufacturers, exporters laud zero rating policy

ISLAMABAD: The garments manufacturers and exporters have lauded the government’s decision of imposing zero rated sales tax policy for the country’s five export sectors, including value-added textile, carpet, surgical, sports goods and leather.

Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) Chairman Shaikh Mohammad Shafiq, in a statement, said that despite prior budget announcement Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and the FBR chairman did not issue any notification for zero-rating of the five export sectors.
