KARACHI: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Gwadar has seized a huge quantity of electronic items during a successful crackdown.
Sources told Customs Today that the seized items, include LEDs, TVs, chassis of imported vehicles and three foreign assembled generators. Sources said that the Customs authorities received a credible information regarding smuggling of the said items.
After receiving the information, the Customs authorities formed a raiding team which intercepted a vehicle on Chaman Road and seized electronic items and arrested three accused persons, including Malik Zaman and Safdar Khan.
During initial interrogation accused persons revealed that electronic goods were being smuggled to Karachi and other cities of the country. Further proceedings are sill underway.
