DG Gawadar highlighted that the timely completion of development projects would convert Gwadar port into a hub of trade and commerce, adding that the beginning of the trade activity from this major port would also work as a major incentive for all stake holders.

Quoting PM’s visit to Gawadar, he said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif kept his focus on Gwadar’s inhabitants. He announced mega funds for university, hospital, and clean water projects. New dams would be built and installation of 300 MW power plants has also been announced, he mentioned.

Gwadar could be made into a free and special economic zone which would bring prosperity to the province, he added. Gwadar port would decrease the distance to their trading destinations and would provide them with the opportunity to export goods to the Middle East, he concluded.
