Gawader Customs seizes smuggled items worth Rs 2 million

KARACHI: Customs Collectorate Gawader has launched a crackdown against smuggling and seized a large quantity of mobile phones, car batteries and beer cans amounting to Rs 2 million.

Sources told Customs Today that after receiving credible information regarding smuggling, Collector Saeed Akram constituted a special team under the supervision of Additional Collector Junaid Ahmed Memon. The special team intercepted a truck and recovered more than 80 mobile phones, 50 car batteries and more than 120 beer cans.
