GILGIT BALTISTAN: Collectorate of Customs Gilgit-Baltistan showed difference of 22% by earning extra revenue under all heads during the month of July of current Fiscal Year 2018-19 against same correspondence period FY2017-18.
Official sources told Customs Today that Customs Collectorate Gilgit Baltistan was stuck up during the month of April to June due to unexpected strikes and demonstrations by local importers against installation of Web Based one Customs (WeBOC), however, the GB customs solved those matters smoothly and now working efficiently.
The sources notified that during the month of July of Fiscal Year 2018-19 that GB Customs received Rs319 million under all heads whereas the GB fetched Rs139 million during same correspondence year. It was further told that GB received Rs180 million extra revenue under same heads during the month of July FY18-19 against same period of July FY2017-18.
The sources told that GB earned Rs71 million extra revenue under head of customs duty during the month of July against same correspondence financial year.
Sources added that GB received Rs137 million CD during July FY2018-19 whereas it received Rs63 million CD during same previous period.
Gilgit Baltistan received Rs96 million under head of sales tax (ST) against collection of Rs42 million under same head during same correspondence period. Sources told that GB received extra revenue of Rs52 million during July 2018-19 against same previous period.
The Customs GB received Rs.17 million extra income tax during July 18-19 against July 17-18, he notified that GB was earned Rs.38 million under head of IT during July FY18-19 against collection of Rs21.47 million in same correspondence period.
