GILGIT BALTISTAN: Collectorate of Customs received 57% extra revenue under all heads from July to October Fiscal Year 2018-19 as compared with the same correspondence period of FY17-18.
Collector Feroz Alam Junejo told Customs Today said that during first four months of Fiscal Year 2018-19 the GB showed very good performance while it was very hard time faced by the Collectorate due to installation of Web Based One Customs (WeBOC) at the Sost Dry port.
He said during July to October the Collectorate earned Rs.746.14 million revenue under all heads of duty taxes against revenue collection of Rs473.25 million under same heads during identical period of last FY17-18.
The Collector stated that GB showed additional 92.27% of revenue performance during first four months under head of customs duty (CD) against same correspondence period, he added that GB received Rs384.19 million CD during first four months of Fiscal Year 2018-19 while it received Rs.199.88 million under same head during same correspondence period.
Feroz told that GB showed 17.02% of performance under head of sales tax (ST) during first four months of Fiscal Year 2018-19 against same correspondence period, he added that GB earned Rs270.08 million under head of ST during July to October Fiscal Year 2018-19 against revenue collection of Rs.198.93 million under same head during same correspondence period.
He said that details under head of income tax the GB Collectorate fetched 23.32% extra revenue performance during four months of Fiscal Year 2018-19 against same correspondence period, he added that the GB received Rs.91.88 million under head of IT during July to October FY18-19 against collection of Rs.74.50 million which received during same correspondence period under same head.
