KUWAIT CITY: Undersecretaries of Ministries of Finance in six Arab Gulf countries held a preparatory meeting in Riyadh Tuesday to discuss a host of issues including the valued-added tax (VAT) and selective tax draft agreements.
The officials, including Kuwait’s Khalifa Hamada, discussed changing prices of tobacco and related products.
They undersecretaries, meeting a day ahead of the ministers’ meeting, discussed outcome of the Gulf Custom Union Authority’s meetings, the common Gulf market and economic integration among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
The railroad project and the economic judicial authority were also discussed. The GCC consists of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
