RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif has visited the International Defence Exhibition and Conference at Abu Dhabi and also held meetings with Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces Gen Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumeithy and other military officials.
He went to stalls of various countries, including China, Russia, the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, at the National Exhibition Centre.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, matters of mutual interest, bilateral defence and security cooperation and collaboration, and regional security came under discussion during the meetings.
The UAE leadership appreciated Pakistan Army’s achievements in the fight against terrorism, especially Operation Zarb-i-Azb under way in North Waziristan, and showed keen interest to enhancing training exchanges with Pakistan Army.
