GEORGIA: U.S. relations with Cuba offers an excellent opportunity for Georgia to grow its export business with the Communist island nation, state and local economic development and business leaders said.
But with the U.S. economic embargo still in place, companies anxious to increase their ties with Cuba will have to be patient, representatives of the Georgia Department of Economic Development and Metro Atlanta Chamber told members of a state Senate study committee.
The two nations re established diplomatic relations last month after more than 50 years, reopening embassies in each other’s capitals.
