The VDA industry federation has reported that the new car registrations up in Germany as 323,100 new vehicles were registered in March, showing an increase of 9.0 percent over the figure for the same month last year.
VDA President Matthias Wissmann said, “The first quarter of 2015 has gone very well. Demand for new cars is currently dynamic. Particularly pleasing is the fact that sales to private customers rose by about 5.0 percent in March.”
A total 550,700 cars rolled off German production lines last month, an increase of 5.0 percent year-on-year, VDA said. The number of new cars exported also increased strongly, rising by 8.0 percent to 427,300 units.
