BERLIN: German call centre business Avocis is in a €210m (£157m) deal as part of the UK-listed outsourcer’s expansion strategy. Avocis is majority-owned by private equity and recorded revenues of €210m last year and earnings before interest, tax depreciation and amortisation of €29.8m.
The cash acquisition is subject to approval by German regulators and is on a debt-free basis.
Avocis is a major player in customer contact management in Germany, Switzerland and Austria and works in similar sectors to Capita’s equivalent business, with many long-term clients particularly in telecoms and utilities.
Andy Parker, Capita chief executive, said: “The acquisition of Avocis provides us with immediate scale and further capabilities in the Germany, Switzerland and Austria] territory.
