BERLIN: In the midst of spit-gate and reported antics in Europe, German customs officials reportedly seized the Biebs’ pet monkey, after he tried to bring the animal into the country without permission.

“Justin Bieber brought his monkey to Germany, but had no official paperwork with him,” Thomas Meister, spokesman for the customs office at the Franz Josef Strauss Airport in Munich, told People. “We were forced to confiscate the animal.”

Customs officials in Munich discovered the capuchin monkey was transported into the country via Bieber’s private plane, and subsequently detained the superstar singer and quarantined his new pet at the airport, according to the mag.

Bieber will reportedly be charged a fine and the cost of the quarantine as a result of the incident.

The Biebs and his monkey seem to have been reunited since the detaining, though. The “Boyfriend” crooner posted an adorable shot of himself on Instagram Saturday morning sitting beside his pet.

“Kickin it with og,” he wrote in a caption alongside the pic.

Bieber also posted another snap showing the monkey cuddled up with a stuffed animal, writing, “he’s like a human.”
