Gesino’s Italian specialty food getting ready to open in Lancaster

ROME: Gesino’s Italian Specialty Food is slated to open Nov. 14 in Lancaster.

The retail specialty food store is taking a 1,600-square-foot space at 945 N. Plum St., near Liberty Street. A second floor will become an event space.

Gesino’s will carry a variety of Italian foods, including organic and specialty pasta along with pesto, tapenade and sauces. There will also be olive oil, balsamic vinegar, jam and marmalade as well as chocolate, seasonal Italian cake and coffee.

Gesino’s is owned by Gesino Sgro who also owns Bacco Wine & Spirits, a wholesale business at the location that imports foods and wines from Italy.
