Ghulam Khan & Kharlachi Customs Stations to be operational in first week of Feb

PESHAWAR: The development work at the Ghulam Khan and Kharlachi Customs Stations has been completed and they will be operational in the first week of February, said Collector Customs Gull Rahman the other day while talking to Customs Today.

These customs stations will be opened for all kinds of imports and exports of consignments across the border.

The Collector Customs said the MCC Peshawar has done a great job in combating smuggling in the province and collectorate is fully committed to playing a prominent role for this year’s theme in curbing smuggling.

He said Customs House Peshawar would support to provide an environment conductive to trade and easy clearance of imports and exports on the border stations.

To facilitate trade on the Torkham border station, a modern customs station under the ITTMS financed by the Asian Development Bank will be completed by the year 2020.

The Collector Customs added that there have been six routes for trading with Afghanistan out of which three have been opened. After the operation of the two stations, only one customs station will remain closed.
