Gilgit-Baltistan to impose environment tax on CPEC transporters

GILGIT: The Gilgit-Baltistan government has announced to impose an environment tax on the transporters, who would use the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Chief Minister Hafeezur Rehman, while talking to media, said that the environment tax would help boost the provincial revenue. He also announced to introduce laws for this purpose. He added that the revenue would be spent on environmental rehabilitation.
