WASHINGTON: Global large-size LCD panel shipments reached 207 million during the third quarter of 2015, up 3.4% on quarter but down 12% on year, according to new figures from IDC.
The top-five panel makers (LG Display, Samsung Display, Innolux, BOE and AU Optronics (AUO)) held an 85% share during the period, which represented an on-quarter decline.
In terms of applications, LG held the top spot for IT and monitor panel shipments and Samsung the top spot for TV panels. BOE meanwhile held the top spot in tablet panel shipments.
