With already so many smartphone brands jumping into the Android 5.0 Lollipop bandwagon and promising changes and additions in features, Google has considered it the biggest update of the mobile OS history.

Android 5.1 was first made available in Google’s budget phone Android One exclusively distributed in Indonesia and the Philippines. Android 5.2 was first seen in Google’s Nexus 5 device as a test.

Reported earlier that Android 5.1 will be available in March on Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7 2012, Nexus 2013, Nexus 9 and Nexus 10 before HTC’s One M7 and One M8 devices. Recently, Google also has announced that Android 5.1 Lollipop update will be available in the next few days for Android One smartphone version in India called Spice Dream Uno and Spice Dream Uno H.

According to Android 5.1’s leaked changelog, the update includes option to silent mode, which has been missing in the previous update, as well as general enhancements in system stability. The update also will improve RAM and battery management, prevent excessive battery consumption, address wireless connections issues, notifications and sound problems and Okay Google function, and fix sudden shutdown of apps.

This report was first revealed on a Twitter post of HTC’s Vice President for Production Management Mo Versi. The executive hinted in his response to a following fan that Google is brewing a maintenance release update for Android coming up next. The tweet read: “It’ll be tied to Google’s next MR, which is in March.”
