LONDON: Google has confirmed that the Android 5.1 lollipop update is ready to be rolled out for all products, including the Nexus 6, 5, tablets as well as the home entertainment system the Nexus player.
The Nexus Player runs on the Android 5.0 at the moment, but the operating system needs a lot of bug fixing and performance improvements. The developers have promised that everything that people are looking forward to will be introduced when 5.1 gets into the hands of the customers. Multiple sources including the XDA developers forum confirmed that the roll out has already begun. All Nexus devices around the globe will be receiving the updates.
While the latest 2014 editions will be of top priority, those that got launched earlier will also receive the updated operating system in the coming weeks.
