NEW YORK: Since its launch, Google Inbox has been available as a beta version. However, this tech giant has now rolled out a stable Gmail Inbox client that can be downloaded from the official Google Play Store.
Just like many other Google apps and services, Google Inbox is free to download, install and use.
Inbox by Gmail latest version available for Android 4.1 and newer versions
If you are thinking about trying the new Inbox by Gmail on your Android smartphone or tablet, you need to ensure that your device is installed with at least Android 4.1; otherwise you won’t enjoy this app’s services.
In the latest version there are a number of interesting features and among them is the Highlights feature. Using this feature, users of Gmail Inbox will be able to access the details in the mails even without opening the messages. Furthermore, Highlights feature will allow users to view photos right up front as well as check-in for flights.
Gmail Inbox also comes with the bundling feature where messages that are deemed similar by the app are bundled together, which makes checking them much easier. In addition, getting rid of them is very easy as you only need one swipe and the whole bunch will be gone. Another feature is known as Reminders. This is a very helpful one, especially for forgetful people as you can easily set reminders or rather alarms to remind you about your Inbox activities.
Another awesome feature added to the latest version of Google Inbox is Snooze. Using this feature, it is possible to snooze emails such that they return after a certain predefined period, say a week or so, when you are ready and willing to deal with them. The search feature has also been included in this email client by Google. Using this search function, it will now be easier to find information such as an imminent flight, addresses, among others, without wasting time.
Other Google Inbox improvements
The latest version of Google Inbox also comes in with a number of improvements; for instance, a newly introduced swipe-to-delete setting, a provision for setting signatures. It is also now possible to undo the send command; however, this only works a few seconds after the email has been sent.
If you haven’t tasted the Google Inbox app just yet, there is no better time to visit the Google Play Store than now.
