NEW YORK: Google has launched a major update for its Android Wear platform, according to report. The update includes new features including activating the Wi-Fi capabilities on some smart watches, T3.com reported.
It said the functionality will likely come to the LG G Watch Urbane, Moto 360, Sony Smartwatch 3 and Samsung Gear Live.
Such a Wi-Fi functionality can potentially let users continue receiving notifications on their watches even without their smartphones.
Other features may include the ability to recognize hand drawn emoji, enhanced UI, better multitasking, and the option to pair multiple watches to a phone.
