NEW YORK: Google Play Store version 5.7.10 APK is now available. The latest version APK caters to those problems and fixes the bugs, all the while adding more features like Material Design brushing, Details Page, Wearable sensors/activity data, and Enterprise apps support.
The brand new Google Play Store 5 has been brushed with a lot of Material Design as compared to the prior Android Lollipop Developer Preview versions. Google Play Newsstand was the first to get refurbished with Material Design, which was then followed by Google+ being updated with similar elements.
The first thing you notice is the new and flatter app icon for Play Store, which keeps in light of the Material Design aesthetics.
Moreover, it’s not just the pretty face, but what lies underneath as well that has changed. Keeping the design aside, you will immediately notice changes in animations like the slide-out-drawer menu, and slight changes in the icons as soon as the app is launched.
Next, the “What’s New” section has been shifted towards the end is highlighted in green now, so it is prominently visible in each application listing.
The Widget Suggestion landscape has also been painted with a coat of Material Design, where the icons for the home screen are also maintaining the flat, paper like design. Google has gone as far as changing the notification icon of the status bar as well, clearly pointing that Google will never let down on attention to details like always.
It is rumored that this version of the Play Store is expected to be made available as an update to users over the course of the next few days. However, if you do not feel like waiting, you can download the APK of Google Play Store 5 (link given below) to try out the new look and feel of the update.
However, this APK is still not completely ready for Android L Preview and ROM ports based on the Preview images. So if you find the update to crash, kindly revert to your older version to get it running again.
