MUSCAT: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and gooidev, American software development and marketing company, announced the launch of a new partnership to increase the international presence of Oman’s businesses and markets.

Their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) says OCCI has selected the Oman Connect platform for its Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SME) incubation platform. In total, the OCCI involves about 125,000 businesses in Oman, and the target after the initial phase is to make the platform available to them all.

The MOU says Oman Connect will be within gooidev’s M Connect, a merged social media platform and business incubator, to accelerate startups and support existing SMEs and new companies wishing to join the Oman marketplace. It has a strong international footing and companies will be supported with international marketing and P.R. resources.

Paul N. Greenwood, gooidev CEO and chairman, said, “Oman Connect will be a launch platform for businesses wishing to reach outside their own domestic markets. We can really put the SME’s on the world map and will be designing international marketing strategies for the Oman Chamber members. You can see new customers in the US and Europe having exposure to Omani based companies and products.
