ROME: New York’s governor is planning upcoming trade trips to Italy and China. Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo told reporters Tuesday that he’s tentatively planning the Italy trip for May. The trip to China is scheduled for November. The administration has not yet released specific dates or locations for the visits.
Cuomo says he hopes to invite economic leaders from around the state to join him. The journeys are intended to strengthen the state’s business and cultural ties with the two countries. The governor has made similar trips to Cuba, Puerto Rica, Israel and the Dominican Republic.
