LAHORE: Government is “keen” to make YouTube accessible to the people said Pakistan’s State Minister for Education Baleeghur Rehman.
Rehman said that the government was serious in trying to make YouTube available since it has a large repository of educational materials on the site that has been inaccessible since September 2012, reported.
Rehman was addressing a town hall session on Media Information Literacy that was in collaboration with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco).
The minister also said that they were trying to make objectionable content filtered from the website so that it can be used as a tool to promote education in Pakistan.
