Governor for facilitating FATA mines holders, implementation of mines policy

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan directed the political administration to guide and facilitate the mines holders in FATA.

The investors should not be discouraged rather they should be guided and facilitated.

The Governor advised the members of the delegation of Association of FATA Mining Development to avoid confrontation with political institution. Moreover, he said that legal mining should be promoted through education and awareness by conducting workshops and seminars.

He expressed these views in a meeting with a delegation of Association of FATA Mining Development headed by its President Malik Dawood Khan. The delegation was comprised by Hayat Muhammad Khan, Pro (R) M. Zubair, Hamid Khan, Alam Khan, Faisal, Hazrat Mian, Siraj ud Din Khan, Torabaz Khan and Azam Khan.

The Governor emphasized that legal procedures of mining and lease are for the benefit of the people of FATA and investors.

It will ultimately provide safety to investors while exploding mines. Mines holders and lease holders should follow the legal procedures of mining.

The Governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmed Khan said that mining policy should be implemented strictly and rigidly and no obstructions should be allowed at all. No space should be given to relaxation.

He ordered the concerned official of the FATA Secretariat to look into the matters pertaining to lease agreement and explosion of Minerals and solve the issue of the people through legal procedures.
