Governor Ishrat, Collector Tariq Huda inaugurate phase-II of Dinshaw road

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan along with the Customs Preventive Collector Syed Muhammad Tariq Huda yesterday inaugurated the phase-II of Eduljee Dinshaw Road Project at Old Custom House.

According to details, the ‘Charya Chowk’ located near Lyari area would be converted into ‘Pursukoon Chowk’ under the said project and a proper road along with gates would be constructed from Benazir Sport Complex to ‘Pursukoon Chowk’.

Speaking to media, Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan said that the peace was being restored in Karachi by the efforts of Rangers, Police and other law enforcing agencies, adding that the development pace in Karachi would now be expedited.

The Sindh Governor further said that the Eduljee Dinshaw Road has its historical importance and it is good to see its revival glory.

Speaking at the occasion, Collector Tariq Huda said that the second phase of Eduljee Dinshaw Road would be completed in six months.

Replying to a query, the collector said that the estimated cost of completion of the project was around Rs 80 million.

It is pertinent to mention here that the first phase of Eduljee Dishaw Road was completed in the month of December-2015 with the cost of Rs 60 million.

Additional Collector Feroz Alam Junejo, Assistant Collector Muhammad Raza Naqvi and other Customs officials were also present on the occasion.
