Govt alive to alarming problems confronted by business community: Asif

SIALKOT: Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Kh. Muhammad Asif said the government is fully aware of the perturbing problems being confronted by the business community for which all-out efforts are being made for their amicable solution.

He stated this while talking to Sialkot based leading exporters during his visit to Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on saturday.

He discussed, in details, the matters of mutual interest with the SCCI office bearers.

The Foreign Minister said the government’s positive and effective economic policies are bearing fruit and the country is moving towards the political and economic stability.

Kh Asif highly hailed the pivotal role of the Sialkot exporters in strengthening the national economy by earning foreign exchange of $2billion annually. He said the government is also successfully removing the hurdles from the smooth way of strengthening the national economy as well.

He assured that the government would encourage the export sector at every level by ensuring early provision of all the trade and export related incentives to the exporters. Khawaja greeted the newly elected office-bearers of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).

Sialkot’s export tycoon Riazud Din Sheikh, SCCI President Zahid Latif Malik, SVP Abdul Waheed, Vice-President Abid Ahmed Khawaja, Chairman Air Sial Airline Fazal Jillani, Chairman Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) Khawar Anwar Khawaja and Mayor of Sialkot Municipal Corporation Ch. Tauheed Akhtar were also present.
