Govt believes in serving deserving people at their doorsteps: Marvi

ISLAMABAD: The government believes in serving the deserving people at their doorsteps.

This was stated by Minister of State and Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Marvi Memon during a live interaction with callers on Radio Pakistan from all over Pakistan.

On the directions of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Chairperson BISP goes live on Radio Pakistan every Friday along with Case Management Specialist Ahmer Athar, an official of BISP told APP.

BISP beneficiaries from all the provinces including FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir inform Chairperson about their grievances and discuss their problems. The issues of beneficiaries are resolved on spot through case management system.

Till date, the BISP chairperson has attended five such live call sessions from Islamabad, one from Chitral and one from Bahawalpur and a large number of complaints have been redressed.
