KARACHI: The federal government has decided to appoint Member IR Operations Rehmat Ullah Khan Wazir as Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
According to the sources, Member IR Operations Rehmat Ullah Khan Wazir is going to be given the tough task to get hold of the top most seat in the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) during the current week.
The Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar congratulated the outgoing Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Dr Muhammad Irshad on the completion of his tenure here on Saturday in a meeting held at the Ministry of Finance.
The outgoing Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Dr Muhammad Irshad who completed his tenure on 28th April was given extension to be the acting Chairman of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) till 30th of June as the preparation of financial budget.
As once again due to the Panama Case the official are already busy in conducting the meetings and it has become harder to pick and choose new Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), said the source.
The source also revealed Customs Today that the federal government has now decided to appoint Member IR Operations Rehmat Ullah Khan Wazir as an acting Chairman of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for the period of two months.
The notification for the appointment of the Member IR Operations Rehmat Ullah Khan Wazir as Acting Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for the next two months is expected to be issued during the current week.
