Govt decides to award gold medals to tax officials

KARACHI: Federal government has decided to award gold medals to those officials who will collect extra taxes.

Sources informed Customs Today that this measure will help FBR to enhance revenue collection. FBR sources said that government was considering measures which help to increase tax collection and streamline the process of tax collection.

Now FBR will award gold medals to those employees who will make extra ordinary efforts to collect taxes. Sources also disclosed that expenditure that occur on tax collection already showed a decrease from 3.1 percent to 0.7 percet.

Sources informed that proposal to award gold medals to employees was forwarded by FBR to government and now government accepted this proposal.
