Govt exempts industrial sector from load shedding

ISLAMABAD: There will be no load-shedding for the industrial sector as the government has given exemption to the industry. Now uninterrupted power is being supplied to the industry in order to meet the demand of exports. The government has expedited work on various power projects having capacity of 10,500MW with the assistance of China. The menace of load-shedding would be over after completion of this short-term power projects.
The power generation situation in the country has significantly improved and only a 2000 MW power shortfall was recorded.

The sources said six-hour and eight-hour load-shedding was being carried out in the urban and rural areas of the country.
