ISLAMABAD: The federal government has exempted sales tax on import of 150 tonnes of dates gifted by Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the government of Pakistan.
The government, exercising the powers conferred by clause (c) of section 4 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, directed that the zero rate sales tax will be charged on import of these dates.
