Bangladesh frozen food exporters seek tax cut in upcoming budget

Govt grants tax exemption on import of Vitamin A capsules

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has given the final approval of tax concession on the import of Vitamin A capsules in the country. Tax concession on the import of Vitamin A capsules will be available for three years.

Sources told Customs Today that to meet the supply and demand of the Vitamin A capsules currently UNICEF is importing these capsules. During next three year through UNICEF more than 200 million capsules will be import in Pakistan.

Sources said that Vitamin A capsules will given to the Pakistani children during the polio drops campaign. The tax concessions will not be available for commercial importers and medicine companies.

It is pertinent to mention here that companies which will be registered with UNICEF, will be able to import tax free vaccine. Federal Board of Revenue will monitor and keep the record of the import of Vitamin A capsules.
