KARACHI: The government has imposed ban on fresh recruitments in the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Excise and Taxation (ET) and other departments.
Source told Customs Today that the ban is applied to save national resources. Ban on purchase of new vehicles for government officials is also part of this policy.
The sources further told Customs Today that the government allowed only one newspaper to read for government officials. A large number of FBR employees will be retired at the end of 2015, while the excise department is also facing shortage of staff since the last six months.
