Govt increases petrol price by Rs1 per litre

ISLAMABAD: The government on Thursday has increased petroleum product prices for the month of November 2019.

According to notification issued on Thursday, petrol price has been increased by Rs1 per litre, whereas the price of High Speed Diesel increased by 27 paisa. The prices of kerosene oil and light diesel oil has also been decreased by Rs2.39 and Rs6.56 respectively.

On Wednesday, the Oil Gas and Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had sent a summary to Ministry of Petroleum to increase fuel and oil prices.

In its summary, OGRA had requested the petroleum ministry to increase the petrol price by Rs1 and high speed diesel by Rs0.37. Similarly, it stated that the price of light diesel should be decreased by Rs6.56 and that of oil by Rs2.39.

The summary will be approved by the government and the new fuel prices will come into effect from November 1.
