KARACHI: The talks between the government and Pakistan Ginners Association have been successful and the decision of imposition of sales tax on cotton seedcake will be taken back within a few days.
PCJA Central Executive Committee Chairman Haji Hafeez Anwar has said that the decision would be taken back in the next meeting. He said that the government should stop importing cotton from India immediately. Ginning factories have a stock of 2.4 million bales of cotton and 3 million is expected. The government should buy cotton of grade 1-1/32 than grade 1-1/16.
