Govt promotes Mukkaram Jah Ansari & Faiz Ahmad from BS-21 to BS-22

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif chaired the High Powered Selection Board (HPB) meeting which approved promotions of two officers of Pakistan Customs Service from BS-21 into BS-22.

PTI government had been postponing the HPB meeting and didn’t announced promotions of BS-21 officers into BS-22 despite being overdue.

According to the details, Member Customs Operations Federal Board of Revenue Mukkaram Jah Ansari and Director-General Intelligence and Investigation Faiz Ahmad Chadhar granted promotion from BS-21 to BS-22.

Prominent among those who are on seniority list included Gul Rehman, Muhammad Aamer, Dr. Fareed Iqbal Qureshi, Ahmed Reza Khan, Dr. Samina Tasleem Zehra, Muhammad Asghar Khan, Wajid Ali, Rubab Sikander, Syed Hamid Ali, Zulfiqar Younis, Muhammad Sadiq, Abdul Qadir Memon, Shahnaz Maqbool and Ahmed Rauf.

It is pertinent to mention here that four other PCS officers topping the seniority list including Zeba Hai, Tariq Huda, Zulfiqar Ali Chaudry and Basit Chaudjary were also considered for promotion into BS-22, but they were not promoted.

Moreover, Inland Revenue Service (IRS) officers including Syed Nadeem Hussain Rizvi and Muhammad Nadeem Arif have also been promoted to BS-22.
