Govt raises petroleum levy on petrol, diesel

ISLAMABAD: The government has increased the petroleum levy on petrol and diesel despite keeping fuel prices unchanged for the coming week.

According to sources in the Petroleum Division, the levy on diesel has been raised by Rs6.57 per litre, taking the total levy on diesel to Rs79.54 per litre.

Govt raises petroleum levy on petrol, diesel

The petroleum levy on petrol has also been increased by Rs0.39 per litre, pushing the levy to Rs66.64 per litre.

Meanwhile, the levy on kerosene oil has been kept unchanged at Rs20.36 per litre.

It is worth noting that the government has maintained petrol and diesel prices unchanged for the next week despite the levy increase.
