Govt reserves Rs1414.600m for new projects proposed by FBR

ISLAMABAD: The government has allocated Rs1414.600million for the new projects proposed by the FBR for FY18-19 while Rs75.00million has been earmarked for the construction of Customs Complex at the Sost including sepoy barracks, e-facilitation center, transit accommodation and Customs Forensic laboratory.

According to details explained by sources that the FBR must speed up the process to design the PC-l and PC-ll, especially for those projects relating with the CPEC ,as the FBR has proposed the allocation of Rs100million for the purchase of land for the construction of customs check-post and trade facilitation center along with the CEPC route in upcoming budget of FY18-19.

The sources told Customs Today that the FBR has proposed an allocation of Rs1144.350million for its new project of FY18-19. The total estimated cost of the new projects is estimated at Rs3601million. The total proposed cost, including new and ongoing projects, is estimated Rs40308.823million while Rs2558.950million has been proposed for the allocation for the upcoming budget of FY18-19.
Out of the total estimated cost allocated for the new projects is Rs512.876million will come from the foreign assistance while Rs3601.415million will be reserved for other expenses whereas Rs73.100million will be reserved for new projects during FY18-19.
