Govt should ensure implementation of Urdu in all institutions:  Collector Asif Jah

LAHORE: Collector Customs Appeals Dr. Asif Mehmood Jah has said that Urdu language has decreased the time of hearing of any case. After the implementation of Urdu in hearing of appeals he decide case within thirty days.

He was talking in a seminar held at Ahamra Hall, which was arranged by Pakistan National Language Tehreek.

Dr. Asif Mehmood Jah said he advised his clients to file their appeals in Urdu language and there is not any restriction for English.

“After hearing cases in Urdu language hearing time has reduced by thirty days , prior to this court was availing 180 days for any judgment in any case” collector said. He said he issued more than 50 judgments in Urdu.

Collector Appeals Dr. Asif Mehmood said that he is serving from last 25 years in the customs department and always used Urdu language in his office instead of English.

He said government should remove English Essay from the prestigious examination because English essay create hindrance.
