“If ruling class is sincere with the country by all means then national economy will be strengthened in next few years,” she said.

Bushra said as a part of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) all officers are ready to work day and night but the government must facilitate officers.

Talking about the gifts declared by the taxpayers in their tax returns, she told as per the law and directions of FBR headquarter, zone-III of Regional Tax office-II was asked to issue notice in case of discrepancies where taxpayers failed to show legal means of gifts. She said that Rs9 million were collected from those who declared gifts in tax returns.

She told that Intelligence and Investigation (I&I)-FBR referred two cases, during the course of audit. She said that discrepancies were found and Rs 33 million were recovered from taxpayers in only two cases.

Talking about jurisdictions, additional commissioner highlighted that currently she is collecting taxes from land developers, builders, lawyers, chartered accountants, advisors and taxpayers from Ravi Town, Wagha Town and Eziz Bhatti Town.

Bushra Fatima said that due to her team’s hard work, Zone-III, RTO-II has recorded growth of 321 percent, which is outstanding by any zone, and same zone collections reached from Rs40 million to Rs400 million in very short time period. Zone-III collected Rs126 million from the builders and developers for years 2016-17 in this section.

She added that Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) target was increased 100 percent from Rs1900 billion to Rs4000 billion by the previous government in five years but due to efficient team work of all senior and junior officers, FBR always met the targets and collected maximum revenue for the national exchequer.
