Govt spending Rs 3 billion on youth skill development

ISLAMABAD: The federal government is spending Rs 3 billion on training the youth in various skills under Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme.

According to official sources, the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission has been providing stipend of Rs 2,500 to every student, Radio Pakistan reported.

Students of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), however, were being given a monthly stipend of Rs 3,500.
