Govt to amend taxation treaties with Finland, Italy and Turkey

ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet has approved amending the existing conventions of avoidance of double taxation treaties with three countries, including Finland, Italy and Turkey.

The cabinet, which chaired by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, accorded approval to amend the existing convention for the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income for upgradation of article on exchange of information with Finland, Italy and Turkey.

The cabinet also approved to sing the protocol amending the Convention between Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with respect to Taxes on Income.
