SIALKOT: Federal Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain has pledged to establish a technology university and a training institute of international standard in Sialkot to boost surgical industry.
Addressing the participants after inaugurating the Common Facility Center, he said that development of technology was a key to economic progress. He stressed the need for allocation of maximum to promote technical education in Sialkot and develop industrial sector.
He said that the government has recently launched Certification Incentive Programme for SMEs in the country, besides allocating Rs 446 million for the development of SMEs sector as well.
He said that the Pakistani economy was getting boost day by day in the country due to the effective economic policies of the government.
Hussain added that the establishing a strong industrial base through the upgradation of the industries was the top priority of the present government as the government was making all out sincere efforts for strengthening the national economy.
He said that the government was evolving some effective and positive policies for the national economical stability by taking the business community into confidence, in this regard.
Federal Minister said that the government was fully aware of the problems of the business community and was making all out sincere efforts for the amicable solution to these problems on priority.
He said that upgradation of the industries could be helpful in establishing a strong industrial base, saying that the early provision of the advanced industrial manufacturing technology was the dire need of the day.
Earlier, the Federal Minister laid the foundation stone of the project of establishing Common Facility Center with the local business tycoons. He assured his full cooperation for the industrial development of Sialkot, saying that the Sialkot exporters have been playing a back bone role in strengthening the national economy by earning foreign exchange to the tune of US $ 2 Billion annually, in this regard.
Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association Central Chairman Ejaz A Khokhar, Sialkot airport Chairman Malik Muhamamd Ashraf, former Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Fazal Jillani, vice president Syed Ehtesham Gillani and Group Leader of SIMAP Jehangir Bajwa were also present on the occasion. On this occasion, the senior officials of SIMAP and PCSIR signed an MoU.
