SIALKOT: The government has decided to install bio-metric system in all Customs Houses of the country to facilitate exporters.
Sources informed Customs Today that main purpose of bio-metric system is to curb corruption in Customs Houses and identify of real persons. Sources said that when exporters, visitors and employees of Customs Department will enter the Customs House, the security staff will provide them a card. The person will push the card in bio-metric machine after scratching it and that will enable them to enter the Customs House.
Sources said that after scratching card in machine the security will provide a receipt to all visitors. All visitors will be bound to scratch card on bio-metric machine. These machines will install in Sialkot, Multan, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi in near future.
