Govt urged to withdraw professional tax notices on businesses

MULTAN: Chamber of Small Traders Association (CSTA) Multan has appealed the Excise and Taxation Department to withdraw the professional tax notices issued to the business community.

The CSTA has called its emergency meeting against the notices of professional taxes on the traders in the Multan city. The participants of the Small Traders Association Dr Muhammad Arif and Khalid Qureshi addressed their members that Excise and Taxation Department was blackmailing the property dealers for registration, but these professional tax notices will spoil the business environment further.e

Khalid Qureshi said that due to energy crisis the small traders are unable to pay the additional taxes on the name of professional taxes and it will spoil the traders trust on the government .He said that he was expecting more tax relief from the government for the creation of business friendly environment, but government tax notices are injustice. He appeal the government to withdraw all professional tax notices to overcome the unrest in the business community.
