ISLAMABAD: The federal government Thursday requested the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to financially support the construction of Jamshoro Power Project’s second unit.
With the aim to curb the ongoing energy crisis, the government has asked the ADB to help build another unit of Jamshoro Power Plant. The ADB has assured Pakistani authorities of forming an effective policy for funding of the projects soon.
In addition to the loan for the power plant, the government has applied for another USD 100 million to lay Kotri railways track. Earlier, the Asian bank had funded Jamshoro project’s coal plant.
